SUMMARY:Somatic Intelligence: The Practical Wisdom of the Body-Mind
DESCRIPTION:This two day workshop is an introduction the integrated\, instinctive and intuitive intelligence within us; an exploration of our Soma – the mind\, body\, emotions and spirit in their wholeness. \nThrough various non-strenuous activities and practices you will learn about your habitual patterns of behaving and thinking; cultivating alternatives\, including exploring ways to respond to the incoming pressures of life from a place of “centre” rather than from your judgements and fears. \nWe will work with a selection of the following themes; centering under pressure\, finding balance\, effective leadership and followership\, focusing energy\, aligning body and mind to your outcomes and attuning to oneself and others. \nWe will engage in conversation and simple\, yet profound\, activities to explore: \n\nDeveloping a personal “centering” practice\nThe wisdom of your intuition – recognising signals\nYour patterns when under stress\nResilience and stability under pressure\nAlignment and focus\nBoundaries not barriers\nHow you tend to organise yourself when in the role of leader or follower\nThe capacity to tolerate paradox and uncertainty\nPatterns and tendencies in how you bring your desires and intentions into the world\nListening to the underlying message of others and holding the space for differences\n\nIf you work as a coach you will be able to take the learning from the workshop into your work with clients. \nThe workshop will draw upon concepts from martial arts\, mindfulness practice and “other stuff”\, and will incorporate Leadership Embodiment Level 1. \nFor more information visit www.thebeyondpartnership.co.uk

It gives you practices to engage with clarity\, creativity and compassion even when you are experiencing conflict and opposition. \nThe workshop creates an embodied experience – stretching and challenging you to explore the mind-body connection and how it impacts on the way you communicate\, collaborate\, and pursue your goals. The tools and practices have their roots in the traditions of mindfulness and martial arts\, giving immediate physical feedback\, powerfully showing up habitual reactive patterns of behaviour.
